University of Brighton – March 2016
For the second time this academic year, we carried out a 3 week space utilisation survey for the University of Brighton, this time during late February/early March 2016. We managed every aspect of the Teaching Space Utilisation Survey, providing the University with a professional surveying and data collection service that included the counting of occupants in each teaching room, once per hour, Monday – Friday 09-17:00.
Education Space Consultancy also provided the University of Brighton with a detailed Teaching Space Utilisation Consultancy Report, that included survey data analysis, timetable comparisons, conclusions and action focused recommendations. As with all consultancy reports we provide, this report was individually created thereby ensuring the data analysis, conclusions and recommendations provided include client specific information that the University can use to improve its space management and timetabling outcomes.
Leeds Beckett University – February/March 2016

Swansea University – February 2016
During the start of February 2016 we carried out a 1 week Teaching Space Utilisation survey for Swansea University, including all central teaching space over both the Singleton and Bay campuses. We managed every aspect of the Teaching Space Utilisation Survey, providing the University with a professional surveying and data collection service that included the counting of occupants and the activity that was taking place in each teaching room, once per hour, Monday – Friday 09-18:00.

University of Winchester – January 2016
During the final week of January 2016, we carried out a 1 week Teaching Space Utilisation survey for the University of Winchester. Cardiff Metropolitan University – Autumn Semester 2015/16
In November 2015 we completed a Teaching Space Utilisation Survey for Cardiff Metropolitan University. This survey involved recording the number of students and the timetabled activity in each of the 159 teaching rooms across 2 different sites in the South Wales area during the same teaching week , Monday – Friday, 09-21:00. We managed every aspect of the survey, including the employment and management of all survey staff required to collect the survey data.
In addition, we also provided the University with a detailed consultancy report that analysed both the University’s survey and timetable data in order to provide useful and actionable conclusions and recommendations. As with all consultancy reports we provide, this report was individually created thereby ensuring the data analysis, conclusions and recommendations provided include client specific information that the University can use to improve its space management and timetabling outcomes.
Leeds Beckett University – Autumn Semester 2015/16 – 2 Week Survey
During the autumn semester of the 2015/16 academic year, we carried a teaching space utilisation survey and consultancy report for Leeds Beckett University, over two weeks. This survey included the recording of the number of occupants in each of the 205 teaching rooms as well as confirming the timetable activity once per hour, Monday – Friday 09-17:00 across two sites. Education Space Consultancy managed all aspects of the survey, including the employment and management of all survey staff.
In addition, we also provided the University with a detailed consultancy report that analysed both the University’s survey and timetable data in order to provide useful and actionable conclusions and recommendations. London Business School – Autumn Semester 2015/16 & Summer Semester 2014/15
We have recently carried out two Teaching Space Utilisation Survey and Consultancy Reports for London Business School, each over one week. These surveys included recording the number of people in each teaching room as well as recording whether the room had been booked by the occupancy, each hour of the teaching week, Monday-Friday 08-22:00. We managed all aspects of the survey, including the employment and management of all survey staff.
In addition to carrying out the survey and providing the survey data, we also provided a detailed and action focussed Teaching Space Utilisation Survey consultancy report. This type of report, uses our extensive teaching space utilisation experience, to provided useful and action focussed data analysis, conclusions and recommendations that are focussed toward helping London Business School make the most out of their space.
As a result of the Summer Semester 14/15 survey results, London Business School have updated their room booking website and app, improved their teaching room signage, plus improved their room booking practices. Each helping to improve the accuracy of the timetable and increase the availability of teaching space for booking.

University of South Wales – Autumn Semester 2015/16 and Spring Semester 2014/15
In October 2015 we completed the second Teaching Space Utilisation Survey we have carried out for the University of South Wales during 2015. This survey involved recording the number of students and the timetabled activity in 440 teaching rooms across 5 different sites in the South Wales area during the same teaching week , Monday – Friday, 09-17:00. We managed every aspect of the survey, including the employment and management of all survey staff required to collect the survey data.
All of the Teaching Space Utilisation Survey data (both the recorded attendance and timetabled activity) was input, checked and delivered to the University of South Wales in the required format, within 1 working day of survey completion.

Gower College Swansea – 3 Year Contract – 2014-17
We completed the first of a three year Teaching Space Utilisation Survey contract with Gower College Swansea, in October 2014. This survey included all 300 teaching spaces across 5 sites, each room had the number of students recorded once per hour, Monday-Friday 09-17:00. for one week. We managed all aspects of the survey including the employment and management of all the survey staff required to collect the space utilisation data.
All space utilisation data was provided to Gower College Swansea within 1 working day of the final survey day, followed by detailed data analysis and a consultancy report within a further 10 days, this included detailed data analysis, conclusions and actionable recommendations for improving the space utilisation at the College.
