Education Space Consultancy provides an experienced bespoke Timetable Strategy and Review service that focuses on working with each institution to clarify timetabling objectives and evaluate all of the different processes and policies that affect the success of these objectives. This typically involves onsite meetings with the different key stakeholder groups, looking at the processes, practices and policies that they are involved with that relate to delivery of the timetable.
This information is then presented within a consultancy report that includes a detailed process review and gap analysis, as well as conclusions and recommendations . Each recommendation focuses on providing the institution with the evidence, detail, and expert insight they need to take the next steps in improving their timetable processes and outcomes.
All Timetable Strategy Consultancy projects carried out by Education Space Consultancy are project-managed by Ben Moreland, Director of Education Space Consultancy. Ben works closely with 10’s of HE and FE institutions throughout the UK delivering timetabling and space management projects each year, as well as previously holding the position of Timetabling and Space Manager at Swansea University. This ensures that each institution is provided with Ben’s substantial HE and FE timetabling and space management experience and skills, during every stage of each project.

This information was then analysed and presented in the form of a detailed consultancy report, that mapped out the current processes and practices as well as the recommended options and requirements for developing these over the coming years, with the aim of improving the timetable experience.
As result of this successfully completed project, we were provided with the following testimonial;
“As part of the work to enhance the quality of Timetabling services to the University, ECS were invited to undertake a review of the current timetabling processes and procedures. The objective was to identify areas for improvement that would deliver timely and robust timetable data to serve a new Student Personalised Timetable service.
Ben Moreland led a comprehensive review, that involved meeting with all School and department stakeholders, which resulted in a clear set of recommendations. Clearly Ben has excellent knowledge and experience in this field. He was professional and very personable at all times during the study.
